About Us
Thornridge Child Development Preschool
The preschool was opened in September 1972, in South Holland,
Illinois. The innovative concept of having parents being an important
part of their childs first organized learning experiences
was enthusiastically accepted. After many years of successful
operation, the school relocated to Northwest Indiana. Our enrollment
has included students from Cedar Lake, Crete, Steger, Crown Point,
Dyer, Griffith, Highland, Lansing, Lowell, Valparaiso, Schneider,
Lynwood, Hammond, Merrillville, Munster, St. John, and Schererville.
The program is designed to give your child a very positive first
experience in school. Focus is placed on the entire child; the
physical self, the social self, the emotional self, the creative
self, and the cognitive self. This school is organized to give
an education to children at the preschool level.
